Herb Trimpe and Alfredo Alcala The Rampaging Hulk #8 Story Page 31 Original Art (Marvel Comics, 1978). A terrific page from an epic story: Trimpe, one of the Hulk series' definitive artists, looks especially fine when inked and painted by Alcala. This composition shows considerably more detail and texture than the published version, which had lost much of Alcala's rich shadings in the engraving and printing processes. The Hulk shares the page with the Mighty Thor (a powerful close-up), Ant-Man and the Wasp, and an alien infiltrator masquerading as Iron Man (in the old-school armor design). Ink, ink-wash, and watercolor over graphite on Bristol board, with dry-brush shading. Image area, 10.5" x 15". Moderate toning. Excellent condition.
