Description
Harvey Eisenberg Hey There, It's Yogi Bear #1 Pages 10 and 11 Original Art Group (Gold Key, 1964). With Yogi supposedly gone, his girlfriend Cindy Bear now finds herself compelled to steal a pie, Yogi-style! When she tosses the pie at Ranger Smith, he decides to send her away from Jellystone, but as Boo Boo finds out, she's not going to San Diego! Pair of beautifully rendered pages from this comic book adaptation of Yogi's feature-length animated film, with superb artwork by Harvey Eisenberg (1912 - 1965). Harvey's clean line style was perfect for Hanna-Barbera comic books and newspaper strips, and even though Yogi does not appear here, these are great examples of the wonderful work Harvey did. Sadly, these are among the last from this unsung hero of Funny Animal comics, as he passed away the following year. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 16" x 23.25" per page.
