DescriptionGreg Irons Slow Death #1 Partial Story Original Art Group of 2 (Last Gasp, 1970). Irons, a master of the Zipatone process, used the hand-cut shading film as a drawing tool (in addition to ink and white watercolor) for these masterful Underground pages. Here are the first and third pages (of three) from an epic-in-miniature about an ecological cataclysm. Right up there with Wally Wood's SF pages for EC Comics. The final image (which is a stat) also appeared in full color as the cover of this issue of Slow Death. Ink over graphite on Bristol board, with Zipatone and painted white highlights. Image areas measure 8.5" x 13.25" and 5.5" x 8.25. Excellent condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.
