DescriptionGeorge Tuska, Bill Everett, and Vince Colletta Iron Man #54 Story Page 20 Original Art (Marvel Comics, 1973). Moondragon (seen in the last panel) makes her first appearance in this story under the name "Madame MacEvil". The haughty mentalist, recently returned from Titan, would come to play a large role in Steve Englehart's Celestial Madonna story arc in the Avengers, and would eventually aid Captain Mar-Vell in battles against Thanos. Here, Bill Everett, creator of Namor, the Sub-Mariner, steals the show in this collaborative closing page from an Iron Man-vs.-Sub-Mariner epic. In one of his final assignments before his death (in 1973), Everett shows Tuska and Colletta how Namor's face must be drawn. His fellow artists rise to the occasion of sharing a page with Everett, whom Jack Kirby called "the real King of Comics." An excellent page with many reasons to want it. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15". Light toning and occasional adhesive staining. One patch of lettering has fallen away (lower right). Very Good condition. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.
