George Pérez JLA/Avengers Special Page 7 Unpublished Original Art (Marvel/DC, c. 1983). Not to be confused with the JLA/Avengers series published 20 years later, this never-published special was based on a contract Marvel and DC signed in 1982 to do a number of crossovers of which this un-titled team-up between the Avengers and the Justice League of America was to be one of the highlights. Perez penciled 21 pages of it before the idea was scrapped. This page features Avengers: Jarvis, the Vision and Scarlet Witch, the Wasp, Starfox, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Thor, Captain Marvel/Photon (Monica Rambeau), the Beast, and She-Hulk. That impressive last half-splash page panel also features a captive Kang the Conqueror! The top section is pure graphite, the lower section is partially inked. The twice-up scaled page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 17.75". Signed by Pérez in the lower margin.
