Description
George Metzger Gothic Blimp Works "Mal-Ig" Page 5 Original Art (EVO, 1969).Former Bay Area Underground Comix artist George Metzger (Moondog and Mu, The Land That Never Was were two of his solo comics) had been a big fan of 1950s EC Comics, particularly the science-fiction titles. He produced several pages of an epic (and wordless) story, "Mal-Ig," for a sci-fi fanzine before submitting it to the East Village Other's comix tabloid, Gothic Blimp Works. Here's page 5 from this epic fantasy adventure, with art in ink over blue pencil with Zipatone shading film on a piece of 17" x 23.5" illustration board; the image bleeds top and bottom, with a width of 15". Condition is Very Good, with handling wear along the outer edges.
