Description

George Metzger Gothic Blimp Works #1 "Mal-Ig" Page 2 Original Art (EVO, 1969).
George Metzger's other-world saga filled with half-man, half-robot characters continues in this wordless second page. The story was begun with a science-fiction fanzine in mind before Vaughn Bodé accepted the first two pages for issue one of the infamous Underground Comix tabloid Gothic Blimp Works. The story was later picked up by French fanzine Ran Tan Plan. Art is in ink over graphite with Zipatone shading film on a piece of 16.75" x 22" illustration board; image size is approximately 14" x 19". Condition is Very Good, with handling wear and old tape stains in the outer borders.
