George Metzger Beyond Time and Again (nn) Story Page 2 Original Art (Kyle & Wheary, 1976). Touted as being "America's first graphic novel", this book was published just in time to be sold at the 1976 San Diego Comic Convention. It told the tale of Seth, a magician who would go on a fantastic journey through time and magic. This page was crafted in ink and Zipatone over graphite on two sections of illustration board with a combined image area of 19" x 13.5". The board sections are joined with tape on the reverse side.
