DescriptionGeorge Evans Vault of Horror #33 "A Slight Case of Murder" Title Page Original Art (EC, 1953). Doctor Swanson arrives in town with important information for the sheriff about a series of mysterious murders, in this opening page to "A Slight Case of Murder." George Evans' art had an understated quality that was perfect for ECs horror tales that often built from a solid grounding in reality to their full-blown nightmarish "twist endings." The art is in ink over graphite with Zipatone shading film on EC Bristol board, with an approximate image area of 13" x 18". All type elements and the Vault Keeper stat are originals. Other than a bit of handling wear in the outer borders and a few small stains, the page is in Excellent condition.
