Description

Gene Colan Eerie #2 "To Pay the Piper!" Page 3 Original Art (Warren, 1966). Gene Colan's first story for Jim Warren's black and white horror comic magazine line was the six-page tale, "To Pay the Piper!," a "with a twist" retelling of the old Pied Piper saga, this time with a village overrun by vampires instead of rats. It appeared in the very first issue of Eerie to hit the newsstands, and is considered a classic today. The art is in ink, graphite, and grey wash on Bristol board, with an image area of 10.5" x 15". Other than some minor handling wear in the outer borders, the page is in Excellent condition.
