Description

Gene Colan and Frank Giacoia Tales of Suspense #88 Story Page 5 Iron Man Original Art and Stan Lee Signature (Marvel, 1967). Three giant panels! Colan's depiction of the classic MK V Iron Man armor made it both sleek and fluid, and also relatable. It's hard to show any emotion on a character wearing a full face mask, so it takes a real pro to make that work so well. This twice-up scale page was crafted in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.25" x 18.5". It is handsomely matted with both a copy of the printed comic (showing the Captain America cover, as it was a shared book, they alternated), and a copy of the printed page signed by Iron Man's co-creator, Stan Lee. The entire affair is glass front framed to an impressive 30.5" x 30.5". In Excellent condition.
