DescriptionFrank Miller and Klaus Janson Batman: The Dark Knight Returns #2 Story Page 31 Original Art (DC, 1986). This page takes place after Batman has taken a savage beating but before he returns to deliver payback in kind, and with interest! The shot of the Batcave in Panel 1 shows the Bat-tank, the beloved "Giant Penny", and a memorial holding Jason Todd's costume. Panel 2 shows new-Robin, Carrie Kelly, in the background. It's a fantastic page that really captures the ferocity of this blood-and-mud-in-your-eyes brutal story. This series turned out to be one of the most influential titles of the 1980s (and the Modern comics era in general), it helped to reinvigorate Bat-Fans. Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11" x 16.5". Signed by Klaus Janson and dated 6-86 in the lower image area. There is production registration tape in the margins. In Excellent condition.
