Frank Miller and Klaus Janson Batman: The Dark Knight Returns #2 Batman Page 3 Original Art (DC, 1986). Frank Miller's TDKR saga changed the direction of comics. The mini-series has since been celebrated as among the most important and influential story arcs ever published. On its publication in 1986, Frank Miller's TDKR changed the landscape of the graphic novel irrevocably. With its dark vision of Batman's future and its stunning artwork, it set the pop culture world on fire. Miller is arguably the greatest superhero writer/artist to work during this period, and TDKR helped launch a much-needed comics revolution -- many feel that there would be no trendsetting Sandman or Watchmen series or new Batman films without this visionary work leading the way. This Frank Miller showpiece, starring the key heroic characters of the mythos -- Commissioner James Gordon, the Batman, and the new Robin, Carrie Kelley -- has an image area of 11.75" x 17.75", and it's in Excellent condition. Signed by inker Klaus Janson in its lower left margin corner.
