Description
Frank Frazetta White Indian #11 [A-1 #94] "War of the River" Page 2 Original Art (Magazine Enterprises, 1953). Although this story was originally published in Durango Kid #3, in 1949, when it was later reprinted in White Indian #11, page 2 was missing. So Frank Frazetta completely re-drew this one single page of the story. Therefore, this one page is not actually a reprint, but a first printing. Comparing the two pages, it is apparent that his art prowess had grown considerably in that short period of time! This is definitely the superior page. The subtle shadows, line work, and overall richness is simply stunning! Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18". Slight tanning, with some handling wear. The page has been restored from being folded, and a small tear in the fourth panel has been professionally mended.
