Frank Bolle Tim Holt Story Pages Original Art Group of 4 (Magazine Enterprises, 1949-54). Four pages from four different issues! From Issue #4's "Tim Holt: Wanted", we have story page 12. From issue #5's "Along the War-Whoop Trail!", we have story page 5. Then from issue #8's tale "The Accusing Statue", we have story page 7. Lastly, there is a doubly-interesting page from Issue #39's "The Men Death Wanted", page 5. That last story features Tim Holt as "Redmask". Masked heroes were in, so Holt got into that game. The page was signed by Bolle in the bottom margin. This story was also touted as having a "3 Dimension Effect" by Frank Bolle. Using dynamic story layouts, Bolle regularly had characters breaking the panel borders on the pages of this story, but there was no true 3-D to it. These pages are all ink over graphite on Bristol board with an average image area of 12.5" x 18". Lightly toned, with minor edge/corner wear. Overall they are in Excellent condition. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
