    Description

Don Heck Forbidden Tales of Dark Mansion #5 Near-Complete Story Original Art Group of 35 (DC, 1972). "They All Came To Die!" in this story of about a group of people arriving by boat to a sanitarium on the cliff's edge of a remote island. Writer Jack Oleck was checking off the Gothic Horror tropes in this well illustrated suspenseful piece. Only Page 15 is missing from this 36-page story. Note the great mod dress on the woman on the splash page. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The splash page has a paste-up title and indicia, which have both discolored, with glue residue near them. This Bristol board has slightly wider margins, with some minor rips at their edges. Page 3 has a 2.5" rip into the bottom image area. Page 18 has a paste-up text correction with glue stain. Several of the panels on Page 36 are stripped-in/taped-in art corrections affixed to the page. The pages have production tape residue in the top and bottom margins. Overall, most pages are in Very Good condition, unless otherwise noted.
