DescriptionDick Ayers and Vince Colletta Ghost Rider #5 Story Page 17 Original Art (Marvel, 1967). Taken over from a previous publisher, the original Ghost Rider fit in very well with Marvel's attempts to fit super-hero tropes on Western stories. (i.e. secret identities, costumes, hidden headquarters, etc.) A great looking page to boot, it was crafted by two of the hardest working men at Marvel during this heyday period. Produced twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". Light handling on the marginal edges, there is also a stripped-in text correction in the last panel. Pinholes and the bottom left corner margin is chipped off. Page 17 of the story ran as page 23 in the issue due to ads. In Very Good condition. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.
