Description

Dave McKean Hellblazer #27 Story Page 7 Original Art (DC, 1990). Incredibly moody Hellblazer art by ground-breaking artist Dave McKean. His use of not only pen and ink, but photo images and collage creates a unique vision that makes McKean's art instantly identifiable. His use of hatching and splatter gives his art a "gritty" texture that contributes to the overall feel of the work. Here we have John Constantine making his way to a party, creating enemies with his usual snarky behavior. Rendered at twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image size of 13" x 19". The page is composed of two separate boards affixed to a large board. The text and word balloons are stat paste-ups. Also, Panel 2 is created with image paste-ups and Zipatone. Slight creasing and handling wear. Signed by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean at the bottom. In Very Good condition.
