Description

Dave Gibbons Watchmen #5 Page 13 Original Art Plus Color Guide (DC, 1987). In a sequence that was also used in the movie, Adrian Veidt aka Ozymandias discusses his new toy line, his views on the ancient Egyptians, and that all of the major villains are dead. The last panel leads into an attempted shooting which we later learn was arranged as part of Veidt's elaborate plan. It doesn't take Ozymandias' genius I.Q. to know that Watchmen is a pop culture milestone, so don't miss a chance to own a page! The art is in ink over graphite on Bristol board, and has an image area of 10" x 15.5". Panel two is entirely stripped-in and sealed with tape on the back. It's in Very Good condition. This lot also includes the John Higgins color guide, which has an image area of 7" x 11". The watercolors on regular paper have caused the usual moisture rippling, overall the color guide is Very Good.
