Description

Dave Cockrum and Bob McLeod X-Men #94 Story Page 5 Original Art (Marvel, 1975). It's only the fifth page of the first regular issue to feature the "All-New, All-Different" X-Men, but it was already time to say goodbye to some old friends. Cyclops was the only member of the old team to stay, as Jean Grey (his girlfriend), Havok (his brother), Polaris, Iceman, and the Angel all walk out the door. Drama and action were what kept readers coming back, and helped turn this title into Marvel's biggest book for over a decade. The page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed by Dave Cockrum in the bottom margin. The toned page has soiling in the image area in Panels 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8. There is a discolored paste-up text correction in Panel 1. The glue residue in Panel 6 is from a loose stat paste-up used to bring the panel up to even with the other panels (it was drawn too low on the page). The paste-up itself is included separately. Overall, in Very Good condition.
