Description

Dave Cockrum and Bob McLeod X-Men #94 Story Page 3 Original Art (1975). From the first regular issue of the "All-New, All-Different" X-Men... the "Old" X-Men quit! This changing of the guard was to have major repercussions in the comic industry and propel X-Men to the top of the sales charts! Even today X-Men #94 is one of the highest valued Bronze Age books, and pages of original art from this issue are highly sought and prized by collectors.
This was only the second comic book appearance for Storm, Colossus, and Thunderbird, who all appear on this page. Banshee is soaking up some panel-time, and although he had technically first appeared years before (in X-Men #28, 1967), he had not made even 10 appearances in the Marvel Universe since at this point. So they really were "All-New". Also on this page from "The Doomsmith Scenario" are Professor X, Iceman, Cyclops, and Marvel Girl (Jean Grey). The story was plotted by Len Wein and scripted by Chris Claremont.
The page was crafted in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Some text correction paste-ups, and a bit of production tape residue in the margins. There is a bit of production oil stain in Panel 4, and a touch of paste-up residue in Panel 6. Overall, the page is in Very Good condition.
