Daniel Clowes Lloyd Llewellyn #6 Story Page (Fantagraphics, 1987). Lloyd seems to be in a dream he can't wake up from, in this next-to-last page from the story "The Nightmare." Dan Clowes rose to fame with this offbeat detective saga, which previewed in issue #13 of Los Hernandez Bros. Love and Rockets magazine-sized comic. This important story, which appeared in the final issue of a six-issue run, paved the way for his award-winning surreal series, Eightball. The art is in ink and Zipatone shading film over light graphite, on Bristol board. Image size is 11.5" x 14.5". Original "LLLL" pages are very hard to come by! Excellent condition.Auction Info
