Craig Hamilton Losing Neverland Peter Pan 2-Page Spread Original Art (c. 1989-94). This is from a near-mythical project in the annals of comics history. In 1989, Eclipse Books announced plans to publish a graphic novel adaptation of J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan. Craig Hamilton was to supply the art and some early art pieces were produced. The book fell through and never happened. It appears that in 1993-94, Indigo Publishers attempted this as well and Hamilton may have produced more artwork for this effort. This two-page spread seems to be from that endeavor. It too never happened, and the project became a revered legend, spoken of in hushed tones in comic convention bars. When you see the detail on these penciled pages, it's easy to understand why. The left-hand page shows a party and the arrival of The Pan. Page 2 shows him flying past the party window. At the top edge, you can just see the children's feet and Tinkerbell. Originally signed by Hamilton on this page as well. The inside matted image area is 26" x 16.75". The center seam, where the pages meet, is slightly curved up and shows a tiny amount of edge yellowing. The matting has a corner bend and some edge/corner wear but doesn't affect the pages.
