Description

Carson Van Osten (attributed) Goofy Comic Book Panel Page Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1970s). Disney Legend Carson Van Osten (1945 - 2015) became a Disney staff comic artist in 1974, handling many of the company's foreign market comic book output. Quite a few stories teamed Goofy with Clarabelle Cow, from which this page of original art is from. It's notable for the inclusion of Carson's name in the second panel, when Clarabelle cries, "Mother was right! I should have stayed in Holland and married Carson Van Osten, the tulip stuffer!" The art, which comes directly from Mr. Van Osten's personal archives, is in ink on board, with an approximate image area of 19.5" x 18.5". It's framed with glass, for an overall size of 14.25" x 19.25". Fifth panel word balloon is an original art replacement by the artist; paper has toned somewhat on this art correction. Very Good condition. From the Carson Van Osten Archives.
