    Description

Carmine Infantino and Sid Greene Detective Comics #337 Story Page 10 Original Art (DC Comics, 1965). A keen development of Julius Schwartz's "New Look" Batman project of the mid-1960s was to add Ralph Dibny, the Elongated Man, to the Detective Comics lineup -- cinching a connection with Schwartz's Flash comics, where the Elongated Man had become a favorite supporting character. This closing page (or two-thirds of a page) wraps an adventure with a bit of teasing romantic sparring between Dibny and his wife, the Nick and Nora Charles of the funnybooks. Infantino seldom looked finer than when inked with the fluid brushwork of Greene. The blank space at bottom was designed to accommodate a DC house advertisement. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 13" x 12". Excellent condition.
