Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson - Original Art for "The Catwoman's Catnapping Caper," Page 3 (DC, 1966). With Batmania in full swing, DC produced half a dozen giveaway comics for Kellogg's Poptarts. Offered here is the third of three lots featuring artwork for one of those premium giveaways, an outstanding effort by Carmine Infantino (pencils) and Murphy Anderson (inks), which exemplifies the "Bat-style" of the period. This is an exceptionally action-packed offering, with Batman punching out a bad guy, and Catwoman destroying priceless relics in order to make off with her booty. The three 4" x 9" tiers of artwork on this 11" x 15" page actually comprised pages 7-9 of the finished comic, which was published in a compact single-tier horizontal format (to fit inside the Poptart box). The page is in very nice condition, with several blue-penciled editorial notes, and a very small amount of white-out. A great page of classic Infantino/Anderson Bat-art, and a novelty to boot.
