    Description

Carmine Infantino and Joe Giella Detective Comics #329 "New Look" Batman Page 4 Original Art (DC, 1964). The "Castle with Wall-to-Wall Danger" was only the third "New Look" Batman story to appear in Detective Comics, and DC has reprinted it at least three times. Batman and Robin land in England to arrest criminal Festus Pragnell at a majestic castle. They think they've made a mistake -- but have they? Carmine Infantino uses four vertical panels to arouse our suspicions, as the castle owner welcomes the Dynamic Duo. A blue pencil note in the left margin reads, "whisper balloon -- see Julie" (Julie Schwartz, the legendary DC editor). The image area of this popular page is 13" x 19". There's some minor white-out in one narration block, and a blue pencil line extends into a speech balloon; otherwise, the art is in Excellent condition.
