    Description

Carmine Infantino and Joe Giella - Detective Comics #327, page 3 Original Art (DC, 1964). Playboy Bruce Wayne and his young ward, Dick Grayson look very stylish in this first "new look" Batman story. Editor Julius Schwartz called in the master designer, Carmine Infantino, to revamp the Batman character and approach in order to revive his slumping sales. Soon thereafter, the TV show took that "new look" vision and spun into high camp. Dig the crazy Gotham Village beatniks in panel three -- all reet! The image area of the page is 13" x 18", and the art is in Excellent condition. Carmine Infantino was a consistent "Alley Award" winner, taking the best artist honors from 1961-64 with his innovative work for DC -- this is prime Silver Age Batman art by a modern master.
