    Description

Carl Barks Uncle Scrooge #60 "The Phantom of Notre Duck" Page 14 Original Art (Gold Key, 1965). Uncle Scrooge's fife, which opens his vault door when he plays "My Bonnie," has been stolen by the mysterious Phantom of Notre Duck! In this frantic page, Scrooge and the masked Phantom run into each other, with a resounding "SPAM!" sound. Spam was never so tasty! Finding a page of original Carl Barks Disney Duck comic book artwork is never an easy task; currently, we know of only four stories that pages have surfaced from (#59, 60, 61, and 62), with this page being only one of two we've seen from this story. The art is in ink over blue pencil on two conjoined pieces of Bristol board, joined at the back by masking tape. The combined image area measures 16" x 23.25", and the art is in Excellent condition. Signed by Barks in the lower right corner.
