    Description

Bob Powell Shadow Comics Vol. 7 #6 Story Page 12 Original Art (Street & Smith Publ., 1947). A fine transitional page for Powell, whose style can be seen evolving from a markédly Will Eisner-influenced appearance into the more distinctively rounded manner that distinguishes Powell's work of the 1950s. That mysterious hero, the Shadow, has disguised himself to infiltrate an Asian cult that has stolen a sacred sword. Mayhem is about to erupt. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 12" x 18". Moderate toning and marginal adhesive staining. Very Good condition.
