Bob Fujitani Pep Comics #44 Story Page 6 Original Art (MLJ Magazines/Archie Comics, 1943). The Hangman, one of the grimmer early-day costumed heroes, enlists a tracking-dog to get on the trail of the Snail -- a slimy super-villain. Splendidly composed, dynamically posed, page from pioneer Fujitani, including one of his trademark eccentric profile faces at lower left. Signed as "B. Fuje" in fifth panel, in a type of ink different from the India ink used for the artwork. The Bristol board is lightly age-toned. The page is in Excellent condition. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.
