Bill Willingham Ironwood #11 Story Page 11 Original Art (Fantagraphics/Eros Comix, 1995). Ursula the Centaur meets an untimely end in the last issue of this very adult fantasy series by fan-favorite writer/artist Bill Willingham (creator of Elementals, Fables, and Jack of Fables), from the story "Chapter Eleven: The Lazarus Knife". Ironwood was one of the best written fantasy series of the 1990s. Willingham has been quoted as saying he only added the admittedly gratuitous sex scenes to the series so it would sell better. Also pictured here are Dave Dragavon (a main character), the wizard Gnaric, and bad guys Simon Passover (master assassin), and evil wizard Sulimon Canto. This page is created in ink over graphite on bright white MU Press Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed in the lower image area, it is in Excellent condition.
