Description
Bill Willingham and Bill Anderson Justice Machine Annual #1 Story Page 8 Vortex of The Elementals Original Art (Texas Comics, 1983). From their very first appearance, this page spotlights Vortex, the Air Elemental. The floating head in the upper left is none other than Shapeshifter of the Destroyers. Beloved by fans, Willingham's Elementals was a fresh-take on the superhero genre, just as his DC/Vertigo series Fables was a fresh-take on fairy tales as modern fiction. Many of the characters and plots in the Elementals series began in a module for the Villains & Vigilantes role playing game from FGU. The page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15". Personalized and signed by Willingham in the lower margin.
