    Description

Alfredo Alcala Captain Marvel #35 Story Page 17 Original Art (Marvel, 1974). Alcala crams plenty of expressive soul into this closing sequence from "Deadly Genesis," one of the series' more memorable episodes. Captain Marvel requires help from his conjoined other self, Rick Jones, to overcome the effects of a nerve gas. Alcala's command of woodcut-like texture is as solid as ever. Story Page 17 ran as Page 31 in the issue due to ads. Ink over graphite on thin Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Moderate toning, with tape residue in the margins. Excellent condition.
