DescriptionAlex Toth and Sy Barry All-American Western #121 "The Unmasking of Johnny Thunder" Page 8 Original Art (DC, 1951). Alex Toth's art really hit its stride on the Johnny Thunder feature with this yarn. Sy "The Phantom" Barry added his burnished inks, and this is a key page from a story DC saw fit to reprint in The Greatest 1950s Stories Ever Told. Sheriff Tane, Johnny Thunder's father, is kidnapped and shot by the Arroyo Gang. Johnny pins his father's badge on his shirt and goes out after them, revealing that he's the sheriff's son. This DC classic has an image area of 13" x 19," including the title logo. There's one blue pencil mark in margin; otherwise, the art is in Excellent condition.
