    Description

Alex Niño Partial Story Pages 5-8 Original Art Group of 2 (c. 1970s). Four pages of comic art produced on two pieces of illustration board by master craftsman Alex Niño. A member of the "Philippine Invasion" of top-notch artists in the 1970s, Niño quickly found himself working on various horror-related tales for DC Comics, and later, Marvel, and Warren. These four pages are obviously from a more adult horror/sci-fi magazine. They are produced two-pages per illustration board in ink and grey tone paint over graphite. Both boards have an image area of 22.5" x 15". The side margin identifies these as from '...BAG' pages 5-6 on one, and 7-8 on the other. Slight tanning, with some production tape and minor corner wear/damage, they are otherwise in Excellent condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
