    Description

Al Capp Studio Li'l Abner and the Creatures from Drop-Outer Space (#nn) Story Page 13 Original Art (US Dept. of Labor, 1965). Frank Frazetta had a previous well-documented stint working for Capp on the Li'l Abner newspaper strip, and some collectors and historians have credited him with artwork on this project, though at this point his actual involvement - as well as any firm artist attribution on this art - is unclear. The book was created for and distributed by the Job Corp (a program administered by the US Dept. of Labor). This page features Abner and Danny Driftwood find out Sammy Jr. is off to learn a new career. The page is produced in two large panels created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9" x 13". There is white out art correction in several places, and a paste-up text correction in Panel 1. Signed by Capp in Panel 2. In Very Good condition.
