Rowena Morrill - "Darkspell" Paperback Cover Painting Original Art (Del Rey, 1989). The dark arts of black magic are vividly conjured up in this blood-curdling illustration by fantasy mistress, Rowena Morrill. This cover image was used on Katharine Kerr's novel, Darkspell. In The Art of Rowena, the artist wrote, "I had as much pleasure painting minor details here, as the magician per se. The dragon candle, for example, provided an opportunity to add my own personal touches." This compelling image is reproduced on page 67 of the book, and has an image area measuring 18.5" x 28". The painting is framed and in Excellent condition.Auction Info
