Rick Sternbach - Spacecraft and Saturn Painting Original Art (undated). Rick Sternbach's first published cover art appeared on the cover of the October, 1973 issue of Analog Magazine. Rick worked on Carl Sagan's "Cosmos" series as well as several "Star Trek" spin-off TV series; he was a founding member of the Association of Science Fiction/Fantasy Artists and also the International Association of Astronomical Artists. He won a Hugo for Best Professional Artist 1977-78, an Emmy in 1980 for his work on "Cosmos," and he illustrated the book, Star Trek: The Next Generation U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D Blueprints. What a "stellar" resume! This acrylic on board illustration, in Excellent condition, has an image area of 12" x 8". From the collection of Richard and Wendy Pini.
