Description
Harold Shull (attributed) - King Kong Painting Original Art (c. 1960-70s). Harold Shull illustrated most of the packaging for Mego toys in the early 1970s. This included the Star Trek toys, and later in the 70s, Micronauts packaging as well. This painting of a scene taken straight out of the 1933 movie King Kong is signed "SHULL" very faintly in the lower right quadrant. The signature and the art style are reminiscent of some of Shull's work (such as the back of the Star Trek toy Camcorder package). A massive piece, befitting the King, this piece measures 23.5" x 29" and is open front framed to 29.5" x 35.5". The surface has some very minor wear and spots, and is slightly bowed inward from being stored flat for a long period of time. The backside has some water spots but does not appear to have been damaged. Overall in Very Good condition.More information about Harold Shull. See also: Shull, Harold Artist.
