Description

Frank Frazetta "Barbarian" Painting Original Art (1986). Frank Frazetta began working on this painting before a series of health issues, hence the perfect signature. He was right handed; however, after his final stroke he lost use of that hand. During that time period, he began painting with his left hand. Unfortunately, during his Thyroid problem and multiple strokes, he kept trying to revise paintings he had in his studio. This was one of them. Frazetta kept asking Joe Mannarino if the proportions were correct, as it was bothering him. Mr. Mannarino told him the torso was too short, so Frazetta then went about correcting it. Frazetta's artwork is quite hot with art collectors right now, and this is a very seldom-seen piece. Created in oil on board. Signed and dated in the 23.5" x 33.5" image area. Open front framed to 27.25" x 37.5". In Excellent condition.
