Description

Don Simpson (attributed) - Star Wars Inspired Paintings Original Art Group of 2 (2004-05). The Force is strong in these two paintings. Although not directly connected to the George Lucas franchise that we know of, they do have the appearance of being inspired by the Ralph McQuarrie concept art for the Star Wars series. The Darth Vader character also resembles Dark Helmet from the Mel Brooks romp Space Balls. The signature at the bottom reads "Simpson" and looks to be by the creator of Megaton Man and Border Worlds, Don Simpson. Produced in oil on illustration board, the top layer of paper was then carefully skimmed off the board. The image area measures approximately 23" x 10". One source indicates these may have been produced for a video game of some type, however that is not verified. In Excellent condition.
