David Wright - Woman Reading Painting Original Art (c. 1940s). This coy coquette might have her nose in a book, but her eyes wander elsewhere. A gorgeous painting reminiscent of many of David Wright's paperback covers; however, no publication history is currently known for this piece. Rendered in gouache on illustration board with an edge-to-edge image area of 12.75" x 15.5". Edge and handling wear. Signed in the lower left.
