Description

David Wright Turquoise Silk Painting Original Art (1949). A woman readies herself for a night out at her vanity, quietly pinning a flower into her hair as the perfect finishing touch, in this painting that romanticizes the ritual of a woman getting ready. Wright's knack for depicting beautiful women is on full display here, with this fashionable beauty serving as a lovely example of his talents. Rendered in gouache on illustration board with a 9" x 12" image area. The image area is largely unscathed, but the surrounding board presents with stains, tape, paper abrasions, pinholes, and corner/edge wear. Signed in the lower right image area. In Very Good condition.
