Description
David Wright - Landscape Painting and Fashion Pin-Up Sketch Original Art (1932). A serene watercolor sunset in a park on one side, a high-fashion figure study of fur and elegance on the other. It's a perfect two-in-one snapshot of David Wright: celebrated for glamorous commercial pin-ups, yet happiest slipping away from assignments to paint landscapes whenever he could. Created in watercolor over graphite on art paper with an image area of 9" x 11". The watercolor painting is mounted to a backing board, which features the 9.5" x 12" fashion sketch in graphite on the reverse. Toning, with some foxing, staining, creasing, smudging/soiling, and handling wear. Signed and dated by Wright in the upper right image area of the watercolor.
