Description

Carl Barks The Old Money Magician Uncle Scrooge Painting Original Art (1975). Who can deny that Uncle Scrooge has a way with money like no one else? In this charming small-sized painting, he takes the old "Snake Charmer" bit to a new level, as gold coins animate themselves out of a money bag with a few toots on Scrooge's horn! This painting is marked on the back as "#5-75", and known by Barks collectors as CB OIL 96. It borrows its image from the one Barks did for Uncle Scrooge #19 in 1957, which was later revisited again as a cover for Another Rainbow's Carl Barks Library Set III. The painting was also featuring in the book, The Fine Art of Walt Disney's Donald Duck by Carl Barks. This oil on Masonite painting measures 8" x 10", and is framed without glass. There are a few tiny spots on the left side of the painting, near the edge of the image, that appear to be minor flaking, but this hardly detracts from the eye appeal of the piece. In overall Very Good condition.
