Description

Carl Barks Dude For A Day Painting CB-OIL 93 Original Art (1975). This painting served as the basis for Another Rainbow's 14th miniature lithograph in 1997. There is a sticker on the reverse side in Barks' own hand that reads: "To Bruce, Helen, and Summer in appreciation of favors done for the old Duck Man. Carl Barks" This would be a reference to Bruce Hamilton of Another Rainbow. Hamilton passed away in 2005, just five years after the passing of Carl Barks. The painting is also known as Barks Code #2-75 (as marked on the reverse).
We have to say... that is one dapper duck! Donald is getting spiffed up for a date with Daisy, all the way down to getting his feet shined! Created in oil on masonite and set in an ornate Plexiglas front frame with a mat opening of 7.75" x 9.75". Signed in the image area. There is a piece of the ornate gold frame's molding that has chipped off. The painting is in Excellent condition.
