Description

Carl Barks A Binful of Fun Oil Painting Original Art (1974). As detailed on page 234 (color plate #78) of The Fine Art of Walt Disney's Donald Duck, this painting is, "Another glimpse of life in Scrooge's main money bin. Of the 17 money bins, it is only in this one that Barks used a variation from his usual high-water-type depth gauge. Against the wall marks an approximate 96-foot all-time high money level, strongly suggesting the possible cause of Scrooge's jubilation."

Most fans saw this painting for the first time when it was pictured on a full page in the 1977 Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide (#7). This oil on board painting has been indexed by Barks scholars as painting #80L (Barks identification number 12-74). The image area of this piece measures 18" x 14", and it has been framed to an overall size of 26.5" x 22.5". The art is in Excellent condition. Signed by Carl Barks at the lower right. From the Kerby Confer Collection.
