Description

Bernie Wrightson - Meatloaf Dead Ringer Preliminary Cover Orginal Art (1981). Following in the footsteps of Richard Corben's outstanding cover art to Meatloaf's seminal 1979 debut album Bat Out of Hell, Bernie Wrightson was recruited for the cover art to the follow-up 1981 album "Dead Ringer". This small scale painting served as the preliminary art for the more detailed 31" x 31" painting that would end up on the album cover. Rock 'n' Roll royalty meets comic art legend, making this a unique collector's find. Produced in watercolor with an image area of 10" x 10", matted and glass front framed to an overall 15.25" x 15.25". In Excellent condition.
