    Description

Neal Adams - Batman Sketch Original Art (1971). Neal Adams brought a new, photorealistic look to comic books. Along with writer Denny O'Neil, he revitalized Batman, removing him from the "camp" influence of the sixties TV show and toward the darker-themed stories that proved popular enough to continue to influence the character's look and feel to this day. Here's a rare convention-style sketch of the Gotham Guardian, drawn in black marker over graphite on board, with an approximate image area of 8" x 10.5". The art is sealed within a double mat measuring 12.5" x 15", and is in Very Good condition.
